Concerning hospital policies- it is NOT LAW.
Has anyone stood their ground demanding “ them to bring a waiver for you to sign.
This absolves the hospital of all responsibilities.
Which means they have NO legal argument!
I learned about this in Natural Childbirth classes.
Used this information at Fort Lewis hospital. Military hospitals had a protocol at the time to do a Pap smear on pregnant woman, at their first appointment. I said this is my body, my baby so that’s not an option. I’ll sign a waiver. Go get me a wavier. The nurse ran from the room horrified. The doctor sauntered in with waiver in hand. I signed-the subject was no longer an issue.
Hospitals act like their policies are law they are not!! Has anyone brought this up at the hospital they are trying to get their loved one out of?
