- The Prather Law Bowie (PLB) is a custom handmade design manufactured specifically for Major Jeffrey Prather based on his original design.
- The PLB is made of high carbon 1095 steel and tempered to 55-60 Rockwell hardness. This gives the knife the rigidity and flexibility to stand up to tough work and ability to hold an edge.
- Designed for concealability in mind, yet possesses a high degree of deploy ability in high stress situations. Tuckable sheath.
- The blade is small enough to be used in EDC and stay within legal limits for EDC (be sure to check your local laws regarding the carrying of a blade).
- The edge is ground to a 22-degree chisel grind to simulate the continuous edge similar to the grind found on traditional Japanese swords (the Ha). It is then polished to reduce surface oxidation that can occur in high carbon steels.
- The trainer is made of T-6061 structural aluminum with the same coating and sheath as the live blade.
